Leukic Review
Leukic Review
A buzz is beginning to generate around a new bodybuilding and dietary supplement called Leukic. Leukic is manufactured by a company called MuscleTech, famous in the industry for creating supplements that are a bit out of the box in their functioning as well as being generally highly priced. Leukic has been the third in a series of supplements (Creakic, Gakic being the others) that have become part of a very new category of bodybuilding supplements that are changing the way we look at gaining muscle mass.
So what exactly is Leukic? How does it work? What does it do? And maybe most importantly is it worth our time and money? Let’s have a look.
What exactly is Leukic
Leucine is claimed by Muscletech to be the worlds first completely anabolic supplement (note it is definitely not a steroid!). Scientifically Leukic is a combination of two amino acid compounds. The first is one of the most common amino acids called Leucine and the second is called .alpha.-ketoisocaproate. (.alpha. -KIC) hence the name Leukic. To understand the compound better we can look individually but briefly at these two compounds. Firsly Leucine is one of the essential amino acids found in proteins and has a key role in maintaining muscles by synthesizing protein within the body. Remember that for the how it works paragraph. The second, .alpha. -KIC, is an ANABOLIC ketoacid that is a major factor in stimulating muscle synthesis and growth, reducing protein catabolism, sparing glucose oxidation, and also stimulating insulin release. Combined synergistically these two compounds have a profound effect on body chemistry leading to large increases in permanent muscle gain and lean mass growth.
Here is a full list of ingredients:

How does Leukic Work?
Leukic works by stimulating an Anabolic state within the body. By definition an anabolic state is one in which muscle is inclined to grow as opposed to a catabolic state where muscle is consumed to burn as energy. An anabolic state is usually caused by a hormonal spike that can have side effects on the body such as during the taking of steroids. Through its powerful ingredients Leukic is said to cause a signal to be sent to muscle cells the same as the signal sent from an hormone spike causing them grow and expand more rapidly. Leukic also fights off random catabolic states of the body meaning the reduction of muscle tissue breakdown. Further more it works to help your body use more of the protein it receives to build muscle, by stimulating what is known as phosphorylation, again resulting in larger gains.
